Legolas and Woodsong rode onto the palace grounds with Woodsong strapped on the back of a black horse.
Legolas strode through the palace grounds at a fast trot until he reached the infirmary. There was a buzzing of murmurs everywhere he went. elves rejoiced that their prince had returned but legolas had kept the kings crown hidden all this time. he set woodsong down on a bed and watched the elf medics examine him.
Woodsong opened his eyes and looked around from his postion "interesting indeed." Woodsong said weakly.
The elves continued to work around the wound muttering. "Well i suppose." legolas sakd.
"Well I'll be going now." Woodsong said with a smile and closed his eyes and slipped back to unconsciousness.
The elves cleaned the wound and cut into it digging out a piece of a broken blade. it was small but deadly. they cut out the infection as well and stitched it up smearing fresh yarrow paste all over the area watching it crust. They told legolas he would have a scar and sleep for a few days but he would live.
For three days legolas never left his friends bedside. He had his meals brought to himbut nevertheless he couldnt bear to lose woodsong along with his father.
For three days legolas never left his friends bedside. He had his meals brought to himbut nevertheless he couldnt bear to lose woodsong along with his father.
Woodsong opened his eyes for the first time in three days and turned his head and looked at Legolas "Legolas." He started his voice raspy "you are truly the best friend I have ever had and it will always be pleasure to see you."
"You too Woodsong. i have not left your side forthree.days. how do you feel?" he.asked.
"I feel better than last time." Woodsong said with a small laugh but it came out as a cough.
Legolas nodded. "the medics say you will not die but you shall hve a permanent scar. they have however saved your life so they have done their job well." he smiled.
"Agreed." Woodsong said with a warm smile.
"Now lie back down and drink this." he handed him an odd smelling drik. "It will help with your recovery."
Woodsong quickly downed the drik and said "what was that?"
"Oh some ancient recipe of ten different herbs and water. never memorised it…" he said.
"Okay then." Woodsong said "so do you know what happened while I was out?"
"Well nothing much happened. The coronation is in five days which means in six i can bring you back unless if youd lke tostay for the remembrance ritual we hold for the fallen in battle. Also if you drinklots of this and sleep youll heal within two days." Legolas said with a sigh.
"I would comfort you but, there's no pong in telling a lie." Woodsong said looking at his depressed demeanor "so you remember what I said about depression?" Woodsong asked him concerned.
"Yes," he said warily unsure where this was leading to.
"Good, well you always remember tat even when I'm gone always remember that." Woodsong said with a small smile and then stopped talking about not want to talk about the subject for two reasons one he hated that subject it always made him depressed in turn and it was a rather painful one for the both of them.
"So will you stay a week or six days?" Legolas said after he promised hed remember.
"I'll stay a week I don't have anywhere else to go in the first place." He replied.
Legolas smiled. "Great. Unfortunately after.that we may never see each other again."
"Well might as well spend time together till then." Woodsong replied sighing.
Legolas nodded. "I will bring you back to hobbiton unless you would prefer somewhere else."
"Hobbiton would be a nice place to start as I told you when we forest met I'm a wanderer." He said smiling a small bit "I like to wander."
"Well then mr Wanderer, how do you feel?" Legolas smiled.
"Better, a lot better." He said standing up.
"Steady there Woodsong," Legolas smiled at his friends quick recovery.
"You need to stop worrying about me." Woodsong said what he had said many a time before "and I'm serious this time." Woodsong said obviously not meaning that.
Woodsongrolled his eyes and smiled at him "If we do meet again once I leave and you crowned I want you to promise me something if we meet again."
There was a thud outside the infirmary tent. It looke like an orc wearing that armour and the colour of its face…
"This is a rather saddening request but I tend to." Woodsong paused searching for the right words "I tend to have to sever ties, in my short time I've lived if I have learned anything it is never keep someone close to you of course I have done the exact opposite of that I have kept people close to me and one ended up dead, and the others I might not see ever again, so I ask if you ever do meet me again promise me you won't talk to me unless alone."
Woodsong walked over to the bloodied and mangled body through everything Woodsong noticed it was Anne,
It was a hard thing to accept to but legoas gave his word. A shrill eagle cry sounded. "What was tht?"
"Legolas Anne is still alive." he pause picking her up gently "but barely."
Annes eyes were closed and she let out acry as woodsong picked her up. the left side of her body was softer than normal.
Legolas gasped. "What happened."
Legolas gasped. "What happened."
"From what I can tell she attempted to kill herself for god knows why and the eagle flew her here." Woodsong said setting her down on a examining table.
Legolas' face fell. "She never appeared to me as a suicidal person…" He said.
Anne winced as Woodsong set her down. it was evident that she had badly damage her left side.

"No she is too strong willed to do it to herself something made her." Woodsong said waving over the healers.
"Thats what troubles me." Legolas said.
Anne coughed slightly. A dark thick sludge of blood came out of her mouth.
Anne coughed slightly. A dark thick sludge of blood came out of her mouth.
"Not good at all." Woodsong said looking at the substance before she was crowded by medics thoroughly blocking there view of her.
Legolas chewed on his lip before saying "Internal bleeding. its exactly what she died of last time."
"And what caused me to come close to death again." Woodsong said his mind racing.
"Yes. but remember that no human would have been able to survive your injury. remember that she is a human." He said and swallowe hard.
"She doesn't have my injury though she has something a little better in the case of survival." Woodsong replied.
"Yes. that is true. but also look ho her left side caves in. her ribcage is broken. i m no expert medic but if a rib pierced a vital organ, well…" he said.
