I've added some of my favorites to the bookshelf. My surprise favorite of the summer? Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.

I read a book back in January that was so powerful that I think of it daily. It is The Art of Hearing Heartbeats by Jan-Philipp Sendker.
The best book I've read so far this year was the actor Larry Hagman's memoir, HELLO DARLIN'! You have to be familiar with DALLAS and I DREAM OF JEANNIE to really enjoy this book though.
A favorite recent read of mine is The invisible gorilla. I figured we need a little non fiction on the list. It's thought provoking and sticks with you long after reading it.
Two of my favorites are The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Cold Sassy Tree by Burns.
Becky, I loved The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, too! I didn't expect to like it, but it was given to me as a gift so I wanted to read it. I'm so glad my friend gave it to me! I recommend it to fellow readers regularly!
My all time favorite books are the outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Currently I really enjoy YA fantasy and apocalyptic type books.
