Perhaps the coldest island overall in North Blue, Democra Island is small, circular, rocky, and essentially an icy tundra with sparse vegetation, but abundant pack animals that survive off of what little the land has to offer. The primary city, Democra City, is located near the center of the island, with Abalone Town to the south-west.

The namesake of the island, Democra City is a vast landscape of population and artistry, where the populous has accepted the harrowing harshness of the northern weather and fashioned the entire city with ice rather than stone or steel. All of the buildings are made of ice, as are many of the common tools utilized, including hammers, nails, and clothing. It is a trade secret of how the engineers of the city manage to do this, such as making ice as malleable as cloth, or as hard as a boulder - let alone how they color it so vividly, but it's true enough to assume that none of their work would last long out to sea.

A testament to the earliest inhabitants of Democra Island, the people of Abalone Town wear furs and wield large, hand-crafted weaponry to fend off the savage tribes that surround their small town in the neighboring hills. Here, the people are that of warriors, but they retain a sense of pride and often engage in games with those fortunate enough to dock in their waters, where the winners are celebrated as legends... though the losers tend to never walk straight again.

The only docking area on Democra Island is at Abalone Village, though rumors state there is a hidden pipeline along the northern-border of the island that allows a boat to travel through land itself, to reach a myserious canal within Democra City.
