I am sorry - I wasn't probably clear enough - the book you suggest may be of any genre, but should still be adapted on screen, unless it is tied with film industry in any other way. Maybe I am mistaken - was it adapted on screen? Sometimes IMDB isn't infallible :)
Let me suggest one other book though -
The Last Station: A Novel of Tolstoy's Final Year. I am really curious about this one. When I'll manage to read it, that's another question...

Totally my bad! I don't know why I thought this book had a movie to go along with it! I must have mixed it up with another chick lit-romantic comedy!! Let me think about my nomination now :s
Nicholas Sparks - Safe Haven
But I am also interested in reading Rebecca - I nominated it last time! :)
I think it would be great to compare the book and movie (Rebecca). And to compare how much movies have evolved over time .
I didn't realize there was a movie for Rebecca. I'm halfway through it for another group (two groups, actually) right now, so seeing the movie would be interesting.

Sorry, haven't realized you nominated this book - Ashley just mentioned it in our Quick Read Nominations. If you do not mind, I'll move your nomination there, as book is quite short, so is eligible as Quick Read.
Really good nominations. Every book seems nice treat to read :)

I just got my copy of The Butler today and just realized it's only 100 pgs, so definitely a quick read!
No more nominations taken now, September 2013 Monthly Read Poll is up:

Random Choice means that it also can be a book just connected in some way with the film industry, for an example - a biography of one actor or director, a book tied with the documentary film (like those David Attenborough and Michael Palin write), a book about (making of) movies etc.
If a book of your choice belongs to this other category, it would be nice if you would together with the nomination mention its ties to the film industry - of course, not necessary if that would be obvious on the first glance ;)
So, go ahead and tell us all what would you like to read this September :)
