Marus strolled through the temples. They were little more than ruins but with his mind's eye he saw them as they used to be. He saw them, great and mighty, a show of dedication to half-forgotten gods. He saw the people who had lived here. He saw the priests, and a lamb they led to the altar. He saw men, not unlike himself, with gladii, controlling the crowds. He walked amongst them, unnoticed, only half-aware that what he saw wasn't as it was.
Marus turned through his dreamscape, walking and conversing with people long dead, and seeing sights that have long since faded.
((OK))Marus continued from his dreamview. But something was wrong. An intruder. His conciousness snapped to reality, and his mind interpreted the deaths and ruination of all those people. He sank to his knees and began to weep.
((Sorry for the massive delay))Marus looked up, the tears drying from his face. He was to show honour in defeat. He unclipped his gladius, and threw it away from him, then stood up, barely acknowledging the intruder.
Marus followed her, still partially in shock from his terrible revelations. His mind unable to function fully, he found himself asking: "Where are we now?"

The River of Forgotten Memories
A pale, milky river meanders around ruins of ancient temples. The temples once might once have had great white pillars and arches, but time has eroded it's grace. All is silent but for the rustling of the knee high grass.
