Eve cursed rather colorfully under her breath as her grip on the edge of the ship slipped. It would be bad if she fell into the water way below. Well, maybe not that bad. Shore was maybe fifteen feet to her right. She loosened her grip and slid it to the right before tightening again and continued back to shore that way, inching back. She shook her head to her twin as she dropped down gracefully. "No, Dawn wasn't on that one." she sighed unhappily. She knew that the chances of finding her sister- one slave girl among hundreds of thousands- were astronomical, especially after two years, but what else were they supposed to do? Besides, she could never live with herself if she didn't keep trying.
((there isn't really any shores on this island, the people use pulley lifts to get from the ship to the island))
Sol looked from the water to his sister and back to the ship, "maybe she'll be on the next one" he said hopeful, they couldn't give up, they'd been trying for too long now and she was their sister, "she's gotta be somewhere" he said more to reassure himself then his sister

Eve bit her lip and gave a large sigh, brushing back her long silver hair from her face. Then her determination and resolve strengthened visibly: her spine straightened, and she cracked her knuckles and gave a short, sure nod. "Yeah. We'll find her. We HAVE to."
((are they hanging from the side of a ship or something?))
Sol looked back towards his sister as a big grin spread across his face, "and when we do find her, we'll be able to stay together again" he declared with a passion, "maybe someone on the next ship will know something about her" he said wondering if they'd be able to find a trace of her

((Eve was but she jumped back down to land where he is))Eve nodded firmly, folding her arms across her chest. "Yeah, next one." she said determinedly. No matter how serious she was a moment ago and wanted to stay, his grin was infectious and she couldn't help but grin in return, poking his stomach.
Sol looked up at his sisters face and laughed as she poked him with a wide grin, "so which one's next?" he asked noticing they'd checked out most the ships around the dock, he looked out at the sea and saw a new ship coming in with a gear and two wrenches as a pirate flag, "maybe that one?" he asked
Eve nodded thoughtfully, the smile fading. "Yeah. We'll try them." she agreed, sitting on the edge of the dock with her legs and feet dangling over the water. She glanced back up at him. "How long do you think it'll take for them to get here?" She asked curiously.
Sol shrugged and took a few guesses, but that only helped pass the time as the ship rolled into port
"my final guess would be about now" he said looking up at it in the hopes of seeing its crew.
