Shadow and Bone-fantasy world of Ravka. Grisha are people who have special powers. They are part of Ravka's second army (the elite army) and are beautiful, wealthy, and pampered. Main character Alina is discovered to be a Grisha and the savior of Ravka, the one person who can destroy the Fold (an evil dark cloud place that is infested with horrific creatures). Thrown into the luxurious world of the Grisha, Alina meets great new characters and friends and enemies. She finds herself drawn to the head of the Grisha, The Darkling, whose powers are the exact opposite of Alina's. Enticing, descriptive, intriguing, really love this book. Followed by Siege and Storm, and Ruin and Rising (not out yet).

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. I recommended it to someone so I just copy and pasted. Ravka is the setting.

Sweet Evil and Sweet Peril are SO GOOD!!!!

The selection! I finished it at 3am this morning and it was FABULOUS

Everyone should read Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas. That book is awesome. I read the 407 glorious pages in one sitting. I woke up at 10 and finished at 7. It was so good! It's a fantasy novel and the main character is the female version of Jace Wayland! She's got that snarky, arrogant, funny behavior!

Omg yes! She totally is! The only thing that bothered me about that book though is that for about 3 quarters of it I pronounced her name as "Ka-leena" and then my mum told me it was Selina or something and I almost ripped my hair out

Throne of Glass is AMAZING. Everyone should read it ;)
