ok, i think that whole epidemic of swine flu is unnecessary. more people die from the REGULAR flu every year than the swine flu and are THEY on the news? i dont think so! thoughts please.

I second that comment. My daddy is a doc and he said you shouldn't be too worried.

i think because you said the reason you didnt think it was a huge deal is because your daddy said not to worry.
Its a new strain and its effects are unknown. Hence the panic. Seems like a big fuss though. If you believe everything you read, you should stop reading.
its totaly blown ou of propoirtion! the kid in texas who died, lives in mexico he came for better care. its so stupid, its just like the normal flu! just more contagious and just a small but worse!
i KNOW!!!!!!!! there is no reason for there to be panic. at least not THIS MUCH.
And the people who die aren't healthy any way
The whole "Pandemic" crap is ridiculous. Bloomberg is threatening to close ALL of the schools! In teh past two weeks 6 have been closed because of influenza like symptoms in students, but not a single diagnosed case! The only american yet to die of swine flu was some mexican boy in Texas or something like that. Its ridiculous. When they broke out the swine flu crap in the 60's 2 people died from the flu and 20 died from the vaccine!
I agree, it's idiotic, but really old news.
I wish it was, everyone is FREAKING out here! I saw at least 20 people with masks yesterday. And every time i saw them i would say really loundly "Yeah i just got diagnosed with SWINE FLU!*cough couch sneeze*"

there all just worried cause there coo-coo well if u were on a boat or in a trapped environment with someone whu had it i would worry, there just worried for there family. but its funny that people keep going on bout it
And you can't get swine flu from a stupid pig!And a whole school district of 10,000 students(i think it was that or 8,000) shut done cause 1 kid got it.That's in sane!

I know. I have friends who will haev to stay in school until July 8th because their school was closed down because kids were showing flu like symptoms, though NONE were diagnosed.

Its an economic problem. Millions of people in bed and not doing any work is terrible for taxation and terrible for industry.
Are we talking about the same thing?And if we are millons of people aren't getting it.If it is also an economic problem then should'nt we be making a fuss over something worse like the common flu or cold that leaves millons of people from work every year?
I was exaggerating the possible scale of the disease. I can't predict that. A lot of that is down to basic human hygiene, and not everyone is capable of that. I am basically surmising the hysteria that is surrounding it. However, the media hysteria around swine flu is less of an economic issue and more of a need to have something to be hysterical about.

My friend had swine flu. She said it was no big deal and she still went to a bat mitzvah.
