I'm...neither. We already have lunch together, have the same teachers, only thing that'll change is no third language.
i shouldn't really be scared, since ive been going to my high school since 7th grade(junior/senior high in 1)
My brother's in Tenth grade and his life hasn't changed. 9th Grade is on the same floor as Eighth, I'm friends with more than half of High School, and they tell me it's nothing. Besides, I'm not easily nervous.
I didn't even know until now....that someone I knew in 6th grade (who was a 7th grader) went to Tino (view spoiler) or (view spoiler)
Everyone's years in high school will be different. Typically, Freshman year will be the most challenging.Firstly, you're still getting used to the changes happening that come along with moving on into adulthood. Your hormones are either still going crazy or are starting to settle down. You're still in the midst of self-discovery and you're [hopefully] becoming more independent with things in your everyday life.
It isn't rare for Freshman's to be picked on by those of a higher grade--it's been that way since your brothers and sisters were in the ninth grade, it's even been that way since your parents were in the ninth grade. It's just the way high school hierarchy works. Don't get discouraged though. Just remember that the ones picking on you went through the same things you did! (view spoiler)
You will most likely have the option of taking Drivers Ed and getting your Permit [ in the event that your birthday falls on the correct date ]. Driving gives you a whole new definition of Independence and the thrill of being able to take care of yourself. This is definitely something I looked forward to when I was fifteen and it's something you will look forward to as well.
You will notice a change in you and your classmates maturity. Most boys stop acting like boys and start acting more like young men, and most girls will stop acting like girls, and start acting like young ladies.
This is also the year most everyone will want to date. And by 'Date' I mean actually going on dates with their counterpart and spending time out of school with them. However, it is different for everyone. For example, my best friend started dating in middle school, and I didn't get my first boyfriend until my junior year, middle of the semester--not because I was considered 'unattractive' but for the simple fact that I wasn't into the aspect of dating until then. DO NOT GROW UP TOO FAST. Just because you're in high school, doesn't mean getting a boyfriend/girlfriend is a top priority. Take things slow, have fun with your friends, and appreciate the last few years transitioning from adolescent to young-adult.
High school can be intimidating--especially to those who haven't had any experience with the whole idea. The main thing to keep in mind is to always stay true to yourself, and be who you are. Don't get caught up in the wrong crowd and never let anyone or anything keep you from doing what you love.
