Hm. Nixxing Jill makes sense. I also think it makes sense that Isaac only has one child, given the person he is and the struggle he went through to live up to the expectations for his family.

Was the reason for changing the tense and POV for marketability, or something else? I know I personally have a hard time with present tense, even though it is popular in literary fiction.
