Goal making and evaluating

Last semester my goal was to read more classical books. I failed that goal, mainly because I do not really likeClasical books.
My new goal for semester two is to read graphical novels that mean somethng e.g. maus
I like graphical novels, so i think this goal is actually achievable.
My goals were to read 15 books and to read more classics. I have read 7 out of that 15, and am still aiming for 15 books by the end of the year. I have read 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' and 'The Great Gatsby', and I am aiming to read some more classics this semester. These goals have helped to broaden my reading and have encouraged me to read more books.
My goal was to expand the variety of books that I read to include classical but I have not yet completed it, sticking to mystery and adventure novels.
I have completed my goal from last semester, reading all the CHERUB and Henderson's Boys series. The books have been very intriguing and a joy to read. i highly recommend this series to anyone that wants to kill time and really engage into a novel. For this semester, I am aiming to expand my vocabulary. To do this, I will read a wider range of books, especially classic literature.
My goal this year is to read around 24 books, and i have read around 8 books this year. The books were all from different genres that i would usually would not rad. For example, steampunk and the Mortal Engines series. I never knew that i would like it until i actually read it. The past few terms have been quite busy, and i still plan to read 24 books by the end of the year. The second half of the year is less busy, which gives me more time to read books and complete my goal.
My last semester's goal was to read all of Rick Riordan's books. I have managed to achieve this goal and so my goal for this semester is to start reading more fantasy books and popular series. I will start by reading The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I will also try to finish reading The Lorien Legacies by Pittacus Lore.
Although the bulk of my reading goal was to continue to read from Shakespeare, my goal has shifted to reading a variety of classical books from different authors. Moreover, another goal of mine was to read 20 books. However, so far, I have only read 6 (including "The Catcher in the Rye"). This is because I have changed my mindset when I read, from quantity to quality. Rather than finishing a book and then immediately moving on to another like I have done in the past, I've started to take time to analyse the book thoroughly, from researching the author's past to see what had influenced him/her to write the book, and the context in which it was written in (historical setting for example). I believe that this will help me to understand fully, and thus, make the book more enjoyable.
Aksaran wrote: "Goal making and evaluating"Just for future reference, please post in the correct section. In this case, the "Personal Reading Goal" section would be appropriate, to leave space here for threads regarding "The Catcher in the Rye."
I'm happy for you to continue the reflections in this thread - I can move it to another folder later.
Also I'm pleased to see many of you on track with your goal. Allow yourself some leeway if you don't think you'll make it by year-end as it's normal and acceptable to adjust the goal to meet reality or changed circumstances. Don't forget that I'm available to help with book selections.
Happy reading

My goal for last term was to read 20 books. I am not sure whether or whether not I failed this goal, as I did not keep track of my reading habits.
My goal last semester was to read 10-15 books, however I did not meet my goal. This semester, my goal is to create more time for reading in order to catch up on the books I missed last semester as well as my goal of 10-15 books for this semester.
