I am a regular contributor ( and goodreads author) for these fine publishers:http://www.blackcoatpress.com/
http://pulpempire.com/
Both specialize is pulp style action, adventure, sci-fi and mystery stories.
Blackcoat is new stories featuring a wide array of public domain characters, while pulp empire is mostly all devoted to original characters in quarterly themed anthologies.
Been fun as I've gotten to write some classic characters from the turn of the century and early days of pulp fiction ( with the occasional comic book reference when my editor will let me get away with it) while with PE I've written genres I hadn't tried before.
Wrote my first western and pirate story this year.
I guess I'll jump in here. My book (my first) is called, Legend of the Black Knight. I don't know if I'd call it a superhero novel, but my main character does have extraordinary abilities. It's a kind of tragic story about a man that gives up everything he's ever known to fight in a war that's true purpose he does not fully understand. It is the first in a three part series. This first book I would describe as my main characters 'rookie' year, in which he must learn how to adjust and use his abilities. In the middle of his training, he is unexpectedly pulled out before it is complete and thrown into the middle of combat before he is ready. Throughout the story, he is haunted by a unknown past and searches for answers to the origins of his life altering decision. Like any rookie, he struggles to stay ahead of the curve, and he is forced to learn fast. He makes a few mistakes along the way, but like any good solider, he learns to adapt and overcome the odds. I'd describe my book as a action/adventure story, laced with some good old fashioned humor, and a hint of sci-fi. I hope that you will join me for the adventure!

Legend of the Black Knight is available at Amazon, for Kindle, Barnes and Noble, for Nook, and at Outskirts press. Rather have a good old fashioned paperback? Good news. Legend of the Black Knight is also available in paperback at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Outskirts press.
Legend of the Black KnightBook 2 will be out around February or March of 2014.
I am about half way though Legend of the Black Knight and this book is really hard to put down. John's description about is accurate and I encourage you to check it out.
William and Travis - I look forward to checking out your work as well.
