Rita (rita817) | 6 comments The slave(a woman) has been the property of an evil man for a really long time. One of the crew on the ship she is held on feels bad for her and leaves the door to her room slightly open, and while the ship is docked to receive goods/product from another ship she escapes onto the other ship and hides in a small compartment near the captain. No one knows that she is there when they take off and she is too weak to notify anyone. She nearly dies in the compartment when the captain discovers her and she is sent to sick-bay to recover. The ship that she ends up on is a transporter of goods ship. When her former owner realizes that she has escaped he retraces his travels and knows that she must be on the ship that he purchased goods from. I also believe that she works as a waitress serving other people in the new ship and the cook/person in-charge of the kitchen is also a former slave and also works at the spaceships bar, which is managed by the captain's sister. I think she may also have some kind of power that allows her to manipulate the power/electricity of the ship.

Oddly that is the main part of the story that I remember, it is fairly recent kindle edition story.

Sally (sastevens) | 46 comments Did you read it on your Kindle? If so Amazon keeps a record of everything on it. I hope this is ID'd it sounds really good:)

Rita (rita817) | 6 comments I did read it in kindle and I'm going through my library, unfortunately I have close to 2000 books. It was a good book so I'm hoping someone else may know what I'm talking about.

Rita--outsized numbers of books on our e-readers IS difficult isn't it? I have both a Kindle AND a Nook, with different books on both. Between the 2, I think I have about 3k books, so finding a specific one is HARD, especially if I don't remember the title or the author.

Sally (sastevens) | 46 comments Hmm this looks more romance but the description sounds really close Demon Possession

or Born of Ice

Those were the best I could dig up.

Rita (rita817) | 6 comments That's it!! Demon possession, I have no idea how you found it, I would have never guessed that title! Thank you so much.

Sally (sastevens) | 46 comments No problem. I did a tag mash at LibraryThing and found it that way. Yeah it's an odd title haha.

Can you detail how you do that, with links, so people can use this as a resource? I go to Library Thing often if I'm looking for covers to jog my memory, but I've never used their tag system.

Please post here:

Sally (sastevens) | 46 comments There is already a post with a link to tag mash in that thread. It's easy just type in key words that describe the book. For this one I typed in paranormal, space, and slave and looked through the few books that popped up.
