1. Back to School Shopping - Read any book with shoes on the cover. For verification, you will need to post cover.
2. Day at the Beach - Read any book that has a beach scene or beach related items on the cover (sand bucket, beach umbrella, etc.) For verification, you will need to post cover.
3. Series, Series, Series - Read a book in a series you have already started. It cannot be a first in the series (although there should be record on your read shelf that you read others in the series.)
4. Summer Vacation - Read a book set in another country than your own. For verification, you will need to provide what country you currently live in and if not stated on GR, will need to say where the book took place.
5. What I Did On My Summer Vacation - Read a book that you are reading for another challenge (other than the Tower Team challenge.) For verification, you must state the name of the challenge. It does not need to be a NBRC challenge although that is preferred.
6. Recommendation Please - Read a book that was recommended to you. For verification, state who recommended the book. This does not need to be someone within GR or on your team but can be family members, librarians, etc.
7. Do You Know Your Team Members? - Read a book that another team member has rated 4 stars and above. This book can be read any time and does not need to be within the Tower Team challenge. For verification, state the team member, their read date and their rating.
8. Genres, Genres, Genres - Read 9 books from 9 different genres. The list includes: Romance, Mystery, Thriller, Suspense, Crime, Historical, Fantasy, Young Adult, Chick-Lit, Women's Fiction, Science Fiction, Non-Fiction, New Adult, Erotica, GLBT. The genre must show up on the book's main page.
9. They're My Favorite - Read a book by your favorite author.
10. New to Me - Read a book written by a new-to-you author.

Here is my list:
1. Back to School Shopping

They're My Favorite - Forbidden Falls by Robyn Carr
New to Me - Someone Knows My Name by Lawrence Hill and A Night to Surrender by Tessa Dare

Here is perfect!
My one request is that after the initial postings of books you've read up until now that everyone posts a new post here when they finish additional books instead of adding it to the posts above. It's easier for me to keep track of it that way since I don't have to keep digging through longer posts for updates. :)
I'm going to work on getting a spreadsheet together. I have a busy weekend coming up starting tomorrow though, so I may not have it together until Monday.

Finished 8/19 - Lips Touch Three Times
Genres: Fantasy/Young Adult/Romance
I noticed that Silver Linings Playbook didn't make it into the August challenge spreadsheet. It would fit New to Me and Genres: Romance.
I don't know if this matters, but I mistakenly said that On Dublin Street was set in Ireland. It should be Scotland.

Vanessa wrote: "Ok I'm new here so I'm not sure I understand exactly the details of this challenge. I'll just write books I finished in August that go into one of the categories."
That's perfect, Vanessa. I've added the list of categories at the top of this thread for easy reference.
