i'm not much for awkward introductions so what i'll do is vent in the form of a diary of my past and just say what needs to be said as quickly as possible.

It seems to me that the best place to start an account of ones' life is before it truly began. That is to say our account shall begin at a time where I only have accounts to go on.It is 1987 and a rather unhappy couple are living in a house that offers nothing but shelter and plumbing. It is Dublin and a bad part. The woman is soon to be a mother. My mother in fact. The unhappiness is a new phenomena for you see he has begun to be unpleasant in many forms. The worst form of this is when he hits her. He hits her for unreasonable demands. One example comes to mind. It is the time when he slammed her nose -first into the sink. It seems that on that one occasion her powers of mind reading had been insufficient for her to have discerned that he had changed his mind as to what he was to have for dinner while he was not there. She had of course dutifully made the first choice as she had known of it that morning. Silly woman. Of this one occasion I also know that they retired as usual without fuss to their room via the stairs by which she had been up and down them as often on her head, back and neck as on her feet. You see it had not started before the news of my impending arrival in the upcoming October. I began my life as the cause of great disquiet and worse violence.
