I found it interesting that J didn't initially want to go to a school full of gay kids. I always assumed that most members of the LGBT community understood and accepted each other on some level. After all, if I were harassed about my sexuality, I would go to extra lengths to not do the same to others. What do you think?

The LGBT community can be very divided, especially for trans individuals. There's frequent criticism that the T in LGBT is often forgotten.Being gay doesn't make a person understanding. They can still be transphobic.
And the other way around (as J clearly shows): a trans person can still be homophobic.
