Ivanhoe question

I don't like them. Usually they're annoying anti feminist and non active. They basically end up being trophies to be handed to the men at the end of the story. I much prefer more modern and progressive female characters.

Ivanhoe married the wrong girl - he should have stuck with the clever and courageous Jewish girl rather than the insipid blonde. But of course, that was unthinkable when the book was written.
