Zombies! discussion

Every so often, I come across a fairly brilliant idea in a book. Brilliant and not too far off what already exists, or could be implemented in the near future. Since I haven't read every book out there - I thought we could share!


So in the book I'm reading now, Get Off My L@wn (sorry, can't hyperlink from my phone!) the author proposes a transportable bunker. It's essentially a shipping container with a hook on the top that can be transported into location by helicopter. It's got a gun port and a big flppin' gun, along with an Armoured team and a whole lotta ammo. Once that's expended, the helicopter lifts them back out. Heck yeah! Very cool.

This isn't a spoiler, BTW - just something mentioned in passing that I thought was nifty.

I've heard of the solar-power thing before, Tammy - I wonder if it will ever happen.

SBSP is an idea that's been around a while. Every of often its taken out dusted off and discussed again.
I think that if the idea is ever fully realize it will be as a cover for the weapon capacity.
