Queen Mononoke walked out of her tent.

Princess Nauada ran to her mother. She stood in front of her and bowed as acussed to your elders."You promissed you'd train me todqay, have u forgotten?" she smiled, her pretty face glowed with the pale sun light. The say a rouge on a quest(Thorn) is coming to cross over our mountains and the other village's don't trust her."

"Are you really daring to accuse me of forgetting my dear?" Mononoke smiled and pulled out her thin sharp sword.

Kissiah ran up did a little bow/curtsy. "Good morning mother!"

Nuada resumed her fighting stance."I'll beat both of you! How's that! More than fair I say !!!"

Queen mononoke bowed to her daughter, "Good morning." with out warning she jumped up and landed behind Nauada sword poking into her back.

Mononoke bowed back.

"may I come?"nuada asked pleadingly.

Nuada jumped>"Lets go!"she said acting more serious.

Nuada smiled back at her friend.She put her daggers in her boots and her sword at its sheff in her back.

Nuada followed."have you heard the rumors about that Rouge that's to pass through our mountains?The other tribes think she is not to be trusted.They say she is a blood drinker."Nuada grimmassed.

Kissiah ran after them. "WAIT!!! I do too!"

Nuada turned too. "I don't think mother beleices ether but the other village leaders seem to."

At that moment, Thorn walked slowly into the village. i long sword sheath strung across her back, "May i speak to your leader?" she asked.

nuada froze. She reached around her neck and blew a bone dog whistle.she decided to act as her mother and may be prevent her from getting hurt."Tis'I,Princ-er...queen Nuada.To what do I owe the pleasure?"warrios would be arriving any second so this ...blood sucker,would be imprissoned.

"I mean the real queen. we are long friends." she bowed respectfully.

Queen mononoke walked up behind her daughter, "It is alright. How can i help you Thorn?" she asked.

thorn bowed again, "I need to talk to you. privately." she said.

"My queen, i have heard of another rouge, posing as me. she is actually killing and torturing people. her next victims is your tribe." she said.

Nuada crept up behind the tent,listening.

"because she is my mother. She looks just like me, but older. She keeps in touch every now and then and i can take her place at times. i did so once and she had to tell me of this plan. I was hoping that for old time sakes you would hear me out." she said.

Thorn told her the rest of the story and was breathing heavily when she was done.

"So you see. I am not the rouge that is killing every one but i have been run out of the past 6 villages, one almost took my arm with them if it weren't for my healing i would have one less arm." she said, bowing again.

Nuada listened,stunned that someone could heal that well.

Thorn smiled, "And we have a guest, Princess." thorn straightened.

"Was it that obvios?" asked Nuada, coming in to the tent.

"you were very quiet. i could just sense you. Being a vampire and all." thorn smiled.

Kissiah eyed Thorn curiously and opened the tent door for them.

"You would do well to stay close to the village dear." she said to kissiah. she sensed some foreboding from the girl.

Kissiah nodded. "I understand."

"Good. now if you don't mind. i am going to wash up then go to bed." Thorn smiled and stood up straight, walking out.

Queen Mononoke just watched and nodded.

Kissiah gestured to a small wigwam. "you can stay here."

Nuada glared at Thorn,she didn't think it was right that her mother trust such a stranger,and a bloodsucker at that. Being a princess meant that it was her duty to protect her people,and her mother,if need be.

Thorn jolted up and spun around to face Nuada, her face just inches from the princess, "Guard your thoughts better princess. Us bloodsuckers might not be trust worthy." she hissed, her fangs sliding slowly out. she hated being called a bloodsucker. it may be true but it was a very harsh term.

Mononoke chuckled, "You can still do that?" she gently pulled Thorn away. thorn put her fangs away and smiled at mononoke, "It is second nature to us." she said thoughtfully, shooting Nuada one more glance, it was more hurt then anything but there was definite fire in it. Mononoke dragged thorn outside and off they went to the hut.

Kissiah sat beside Nuada. "Do not fear her, sister. Her spirit is true."

mononoke walked back in, "That is one of my dearest friends and greatest allies. You would do well not to get on her bad side. she has powers i do not even know of." she sighed to her daughters.

"I could take her!" Nuada growled. "You said yourself that I'm one of the best fighters in the Okami clans. I'm a princess and these are my people! My people to pretect and I hope you can live with yourself when one of them is found,stark white,with teeth marks in their throut,dead!" she shouted back at her mother.

"That is enough! You may be one of the best fighters but you are not the best. And Thorn is more powerful then you. she doesn't use her sword in the same way we do, and she would never hurt nay of my people. she feeds on animals and out in the woods at that." Mononoke snapped.
