Nancy Drew Readers discussion

All of you are Nancy Drew fans, or else you wouldn't be here! I was wondering though, if you liked Trixie Belden and the mystery books envolving her. The Secret of the Mansion
While Nancy has a fairly high end life, Trixie lives in the country (I think, I havent read one in a while) with her mom, dad, and brothers. She also can seem a bit more human in her sleuthing.

So, what's your stand? Do you like Trixie? If so, who is better?

I've been wanting to read the Trixie Belden books! They seem pretty cool! Whenever I read it, I'll let you know if I like her or Nancy better. :-) What's your opinion, Sarah?

I am a bit more partial to Trixie, because she is a bit more relatable and has a lot of great friends.

I've seen the books at the book store, and maybe the library, but I haven't read them yet. Maybe I'll read them sometime soon, because I'm getting a break from school this week, and will have more time to read books! :-D

Well, I'm an ardent Nancy Drew fan, but you are right in the fact that Trixie is more relatable. I love them both, though!

Which Trixie books do you like best, Tara? I still haven't read any.

I like numbers 1-4, 12 and 14. #14 was my first Trixie, and the first one was very great. #3 was really good, too, it's one of the ones that i found in a bookstore, so I own that one and I've read it a lot of times.

I absolutely adore Trixie! I read them all, and still have my 34 original copies. I guess that is why I am coming to Nancy later in life. My favorites are Red Trailer, Gatehouse, Arizona, Blinking Eye and Cobbetts Island. Gleeps! My cousin and I used to discuss the Bobwhites all of the time, it would make my sister so mad!

I'd love to read Trixie sometime after I finish the classic Nancy Drew series :-)
