The Not-So Austen Bookclub discussion

Book Week is a tradition, more commonly found in Australia - run by the Children's Book Council of Australia each year.

This year, from the 17th of August - 23rd of August 2013, bookworms will celebrate under the theme Read Across The Universe , exploring other universes besides their own through literature and literature-related activities.

Here at the Not-So Austen Bookclub we will be engaging in the following activities:
- A writing competition
- A giveaway
- Theme-related discussions

More details on the writing comp and the giveaway will be released ASAP - due to differences in time zones, Book Week will officially begin tomorrow: the 18th of August for Australians, and the 17th in Americans. It will then continue until the 24th of August for Australians, and the 23rd for Americans.

This Book Week for 2013 is international, so feel free to join in any of the activities, discussions, etc. and share the bookworm spirit!

This sounds fantastic! I am really excited, as anything connected to other worlds or outer space is of great interest to me. I am very much looking forward to any writing challenges too ~ thank you so much Booknut for holding such a brilliant book event.

My school is part of this, too... so excited! I get to make a book trailer for it :D
