Starting a new topic for announcements.
I'll be posting my observations and notes, some of them to be seen as requests to active players, some will eventually turn into new rules/amendments.

First of all, a huge thanks to everyone, who joined the group up until now! It's 18 people (6 Characters and 2 Keepers active)! And you all are truly awesome! My deepest gratitude to everyone, who decided to breathe life into this group.

Now, some things I've noticed from reading the story that is developing in the Locations - and this really is important.

Please consider that what your characters have and can reply to is only the actions (exp., verbs like 'went', 'sighed', 'smiled', 'hugged' etc.) of a character you are rp-ing with and his direct words (usually punctuated by quotation marks - "[text]").

The general narration (do not confuse with description of actions) and the thoughts (I personally use these punctuation marks '[text]' + narrative) of a character are NOT meant for other characters to reply to directly, it's for the players to better understand the psychology and background of a character.

I have noticed several cases where a character was apparently judged not by his words or actions, but by his thoughts - something other characters cannot know of (no telepathy skills were requested at the moment of character creation so far).

Character creation is also mainly meant for me as a host - to lead quests in the Labyrinth, to keep the group active in general. For everyone else - to get general knowledge of how many characters are already available, what types, what stories - to aid them in creation of their own characters or to refresh the knowledge of some facts.

The general assumption is: A character knows about the others only as much he was told or noticed through watching the actions of the concerned characters during the game. No matter what is written in the application form. Guessing is possible, but to logical extent.

And just my personal, a bit grumpy, opinion... Of course, I cannot tell you how to play your characters. But stop drawing swords at every possible occasion. Try teasing, bickering, trying to outsmart others, plotting, being naughty or wicked... Swords drawn to no apparent cause kill the inspiration. IMHO.

To my greatest regret Morgan, who played the character Charlie, has left the group.
I would like to apologize to the girl as my actions of a moderator and attempts to keep the story line correct apparently have upset her.

And at the same time I would like to point out that it was my duty to correct her actions that obviously diverged from following Rule 3 of the Group Rules and Rules 3, 4.1, 4.2, of the Rules of the Labyrinth.

At this moment I announce that the character Charlie has broken through the magic barrier and left the island of the Labyrinth.

I also apologize to all group members who are currently being passive readers of the story that quite a number of posts related to Charlie is missing from the group.

Thank you for your attention.

Ladies and Gentlemen
I'm very sorry to have been absent for such a long time.
Unfortunately I'm currently being majorly brain-f***ed and brain-damaged by my job now, which I'm working from morning till late night (early morning next day) practically non-stop and sometimes even without weekends (which I spend to sleep and restore if I get any), and the flow of huge projects at work does not seem to slow down, so my current status is [Ghosting + Modding].
I'll do my best to write at least several posts in the Quest section a day, my apologies to Joe for letting him wait for so long. And if I'm alive at least a bit, I might join the other Locations too.
Hope for your understanding.

The Keeper

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'm somewhat sorry to announce that I'll be absent for the next three weeks or so due to a trip. My access to Internet will be very limited which makes me unable to play for that time. Quests will be put on hold, Dae will also withdraw for the time being not to hold up anyone's game. But I'll use the time to get some rest for my brain, find new inspiration and generate new ideas. (Currently I am in a somewhat depressed mood, which is not good for communicating with people at all.)

Now, I'm leaving Sarah in charge, so please keep following the rules. Stick to the outlines of the world and the possibly logical course of events, and post all off-topics in appropriate sections or in separate posts so that I can edit them out later. Use proper language, no sex, bla bla... Well, you know. Or at least know where the rules are. I might be checking on you from time to time. :D

And don't let the group die out - use the chance to create: new creatures, new artifacts, new situations, new secondary characters, new locations (I'll leave an empty topic for a new location in case you might need one). Basically, I want to read something interesting when I'm back!

Reminder to active players: you all have three slots for main characters, so if you don't know what to do with your existing ones - maybe you should create a new one and add a little intrigue to the whole thing. Or make more short-time secondary characters.

Advise to readers: this is an advanced game and I try to keep it high quality, but use the little freedom and maybe give it a try at playing with us. We don't bite. Well, most of the times. :D

For the time of my absence new characters are (almost) automatically accepted into the game. With Sarah's consent, of course. For the 'automatically' thing to work you have to fill all required fields in the character request section. And yes, no god-modding. And if you decide your character has already been on the island for a while now, don't forget to add a good reason why the Keepers haven't noticed his presence so far. Not that I'm against the fact. I might be editing the whole thing when I'm back anyways. :P

Well, all in all, have fun!

The Keeper.
