Microchip couldn’t be more timely or relevant, for it pertains to numerous social/political issues affecting us all one way or another. In this, her first book, Chey Barnes has skillfully woven together an intricate plot of conflicts, survival, future possibilities and love in today’s world. She deals with her subject (which could easily be dry, dark and depressing) knowledgeably and with much insight, imagination and humor.

I found it hard to put this book down until the finish which only left me wanting more. With each page I was increasingly involved and eager to know what would happen next, for it is easy to recognize and relate to the diverse cast of characters and their situations. For a GOOD READ, don’t miss Microchip. It won’t disappoint you. It’s fast moving, constantly surprising and thought provoking, it is, above all, highly satisfying entertainment. Enjoy!
