So, do you guys like meredith?
She is the midwife right? who told sarah heap that septimus was dead,and ran away with him in the very first chapter of magyk :(
I dont like her, shes okay..
She gets arrested right? In queste?

Merrin Meredith is the 'Septimus Heap' and the apprentice to Dom Daniel. I don't like him, but I feel sorry for him. He grew up thinking that he was the Seventh son of the Seventh son. I thought it was sad when he found out who he really was.

No,i thought merrin meredith is a girl,and that SHE was the mid-wife,who took sep away in the first book,claiming that he was dead..right?

No, the midwife was called The Matron Midwife. In the back of the book Magyk it says And so Agnes Merridith, former Matron Midwife, now unemployed bag lady, packed her many bags and set off to search for her lost son, Merrin.

So Merrin is her son.

I don't like Merrin, but then I feel bad that I don't like him, because he's had a hard life. I think he has potential as a good turnaround character. He's known only evil in his life, and when he met good, he treated it rudely, which I disliked, but I think it just came as sort of a shock to him. I think as he delves deeper into the realm of the Darke, he begins to realize how it corrodes his soul. I think he needs more chances to prove himself...he needs something good to live for, something to motivate him in a positive direction. If he would only open up to true friendship...

Merrin was awkward...made me feel weird when I was reading about him...

He just had a hard life, I mean Who wouln´t if they were apprenticed to Dom Daniel almost thei´re whole life? AND then he discovered that everything he knew about himself was a lie...
But i still dont like him :P

About Merrin, I like him. (although I have to say I like weird people in books. it takes a lot for me to dislike or hate people, so most of the time I just like them.) I feel sad for Merrin. :(

To answer your question, Maghana, about one of the Meredith getting arrested in queste, none of them did. But in Magyk at the end it tells you what happened in the beginning with some people Marrin's mother was one of them. It tell how she gets arrested because she fought to get her son back.

Harmione7, I don't think that it was Simon who made him not normal. It was DomDaniel and that he believed the was Septimus Heap and wasn't.
