Markus leaned against the hay in Shade's stall, his eyes closed and his chest deflating with a soft sigh when the large black horse nuzzled his owner, getting horse snot over Markus' jeans. Markus grinned slightly and opened blue eyes, laughing as he playfully pushed Shade away "Okay,Okay, I get it" He muttered, pushing himself up from the ground and scratching the stallion's round rump. "I'll see you later boy" Markus said, slipping out of the stall but not before tossing a handful of sugar lumps in the feed bucket.

Twenty minutes later Markus, fresh from the shower and free from horse snot, swung his leg over a black motorcycle and revved the bike to life. This was the only kind of riding he did anymore, having given up horse riding a long time ago. It wasn't long before he pulled up in front of the school and parked. Already he was being glared at by some of the girls 'Great, this is going to go smoothly' he thought to himself as he tossed his backpack over one shoulder and headed towards the steps of the former all-girls school.

Annalee stood at her locker, collecting her things for the first class of the day. The "new students" were already arriving and the amount of boys there really were made her stomach drop. When the teachers had announced that the boys' school would be joining them, they had made it sound like only a few boys were coming. Now the place was crawling in them. With a sigh, the girl closed her locker and pressed her head against the door, letting the metal cool her skin. It's not so bad. At least they didn't bring spray paint or fire crackers. But the point still stood, the school would be changing. Everyone was just hoping it would be for the better.
Markus glanced around the halls and winced, trying to weave his way between screaming reunions of people who mostly likely had spoken the whole summer but where too hipped in the drama that a new school year provided. The hallway was entirely too clean for a high school, and it smelled like cheap perfume mixed with the harsh scent of soap and sweat. "187..188..189" Markus spoke under his breath as he counted out the lockers, trying to find the one that was his, noticing the school had given the guys odd numbers while the girls had even. There, 193 he thought as he walked up to a locker, noticing a girl at the one next to him as he spun the lock to his first number.
Annalee jolted when she felt someone move in beside her, and the movement caused her to drop her things. Books hit the ground as loose papers started to fly away and her colored pencils scattered, a few breaking under the feet of boys too busy to watch where they were going."Dang it," the girl muttered, dropping to her knees. Her blonde hair fell into her eyes as she crawled around, trying to collect her things. There were too many people in the hallways, she decided, narrowly escaping being kicked in the face. The school's halls had always been spacious, even during class changes, now they were packed and there was no room to do anything without getting stepped on.
Markus winced at clattering of things hitting the floor in which he had caused. He glanced down at the girl crawling on floor next to him and a small sigh deflated his chest "Here, Allow me" he spoke, kneeling down next to the girl as he reached out for the things that had rolled near him "I'm sorry" Markus spoke, holding out a few papers, books and broken coloured pencils.
Annalee looked up, her mouth half way open to tell him that it had been her fault, but she froze when she saw his face. The girl closed her mouth, then opened it again, before her eyes darted to the supplies in his hands and she was able to breath again."Th-thanks," Annalee muttered softly, taking her books and papers and putting them all in one pile. Taking another deep breath, she looked back up at the boy next to her. "I-I guess we're locker buddies. You... you're a senior, then?" It was a stupid question since this was the senior hallway, but she had to say something.
Alex was walking gracefully in the senior hallways. She was trying to find her locker. As she walked, almost all of the student male population was checking her out. Alex was used to things like this so she didn't pay attention to them. For all she knew, she was receiving glares from most of the females. She paused and looked at the paper she was given. Written on the paper was her locker number. She counted the the numbers under breath as she kept walking forward. Finally, she found her locker, which was opposite to a girl.
Hope I don't act like a bitch this time, she thought to herself.
She walked up to her locker. She spun the lock, ignoring the failed attempt of flirting of the girl beside her. At least, that's what she assumed.

Kevin dressed nicely since he always tried to look sharp. He then was carrying his things in his backpack walking to his locker. Most people glared at him and gave him dirty looks because they were jealous of him being rich and all, but some girls were swooned by him since to them he was the cool type. The small piece of paper he held in his was to his locker. Alex then had caught his eye by Alex recognizing her. He is thoughts then wondered off about her thinking since he hear he would be going to school with Alex he had decided to research her family, Her family was famous for their talent scout agency called Peacock. Her father, Jacob McBane, who was President of that company. They were very wealthy and that wealth also contributed from her mom, Violette McBane, being a famous Italian model who was now retired. Alex was first born of the family and a stunning image of her mother. There was also a couple of police reports about her about underage drinking. Apparently she like to party. She also has a rare type of leukemia called myelodysplastic syndrome. He then noticed that his locker was right next to her. He knew that this would be to his advantage joining the two companies would impress his father and then Kenvin would gain the family company. He then spun the lock as thoughts ran through his mind and opened his locker. He then said to Alex as he put his things in his locker, "Well, since we are going to be locker buddies. Could I get your name by chance? I'm Kevin."
Alex barely glanced at him. She just focused on her locker. He was cute, but not worth talking to. Alex was bored out of her mind. She had to be polite anyway. She sighed, barely turning to face him as she introduced herself.
"Alex," she said. "My name is Alex."
"Alex," she said. "My name is Alex."
Markus glanced at the girl as he rose back to his full height, a small smile gracing his lips "Yeah, one more year and I'm going to get as far away from this town as I can" He spoke, glancing back to his locker as he finished exchanging things from his bookbag "Oh, here" Markus spoke again handing her a new set of colour pencils.

Kevin then said, "It's nice to meet you for the first time Alex McBane. The name is Kevin Wu. If you through one of those wild parties invite me." He then got his books he needed for his next class and closed his locker and began to walk away heading to his next class.
(95% of the girls are mad about the boys coming)Annalee blinked at Markus, her fingers wrapping lightly around the box of colored pencils. "You-- you don't have to," she said softly, hugging her books to her chest with her free hand. But the thought of going the entire day without colored pencils made her shutter. "I'll give them back at the end of the day," she decided. "I have more at home."

Kevin then said, "It's nice to meet you for ..."
Alex paused a bit. Only for a second. Then she focused on her locker instead. Finally, after a minutes minutes of not answering him, she decided to face the boy. Then she decided not to. She didn't want to give him the authority to think that he was important that she would actually look at him and face him. But he already left as she made her decision.
I didn't tell you my last name, creep, she thought to herself.

Kevin then sighed as he sat down thinking about what he had to do today. He was tired though since he was working last night. He then waited for class to start wanting to get school over with. He already knew that they weren't going to teach anything today, so why come? He sighed hating school more and more.
(Should Alex and Annalee know each other in a not-friends-but-our-parents-hang-out-so-we're-forced-to-spend-time-with-each-othe sort of way?)

Sure.
Sure.
Markus raised his eyebrows at the girl, shaking his head slightly "It's fine, I wouldn't get much use from them anyways" he spoke, being more of a musician than an artist as he shut and spun his lock. Slinging his bag over his shoulder he smiled at the girl again, giving her his full attention now that he was finished with the locker "Oh, I'm Markus Thorne" he spoke, holding out a hand, suddenly realising that he never introduced himself.
The girl glanced down at his hand a moment before shaking it with a firm grip, "Annalee. Nice to meet you Markus Throne." She could be polite, at least to this invader. He did give her his colored pencils, after all. "What's your first class?"
"To you as well" Markus spoke, letting go of her hand as he reached into his pocket, taking out a small piece of white folded paper in which he unfolded, his dark blue eyes scanning it over "Uh, Foreign studies with Ms Dare".
"My class is right next to her's," Annalee say, hugging her things to her chest, "I can show you if you want. Gotta warn you, though, it's a kill or die class. Last year we even reenacted a few wars."
Markus nodded, sweeping out his arm slightly, indicating that she should go first "Lead the way" he spoke, ignoring the glares they were getting from the other students as they walked past, no doubt for fraternization with the enemy. His eyes drifted over to her when she spoke, a slight laugh filling the air between them "And here I thought that an all girls school would be nail polish and glitter".
"We actually had a no make up rule until this year," the girl told him, not surprised by what he thought. Most guys thought of girls' schools like they thought of slumber parties. And, for the most part, they were all wrong. "This year is going to be extremely different."
Alex closed her locker and walked away from the locker. Almost everyone moved like the waves when Moses controlled them. Alex walked with poise and confidence like a model. She walked to her first period class, trying not to think about how boring it would be.
Kevin then watched Alex walked in the classroom and noticed that the only seat open was by him. He then smiled at her watching her every move. He was interested in her which was rare for someone like him.
Alex walks into the classroom, thankful that not all eyes were on her. She sat down on an empty desk next to some guy. He looked familiar, but she didn't bother to wonder. The lesson started with taking notes and such. She could feel the guy next to her, just staring at her. She tried to ignore it since she was used to it, but it was creepy.
Kevin then took notes like a smart person which meant he didn't take any at all. He just looked out the window and glanced at Alex once in a while he was deep in thought and knew exactly what he what he had to do. He then stood up in class and the teacher told him to sit down he then got on one knee facing Alex and asked, "Alex will you marry me?" The whole class the got quite in shock and waited for what she was going to say. He had a flower in his hand and looked at her seriously. He wanted her to be his and his brain was calculating. He had to catch her eye that and he was totally serious about marrying her.
Alex was shocked, but she was good at hiding it. She just looked at him and smiled. It sounded like such a stupid idea. Marry him? Yeah, right. Sure, he's cute and all, but really? "In your dreams" was all she said to him. She didn't really want to get married now or ever. She didn't like to get tied down. And plus, there are no happily ever afters. In addition to that, it's because of her family's money that people are usually interested in her. There is no love in marriage or relationships or anything whatsoever.
Kevin then said, "Alex dear. We need to talk." He then smiled standing up and picked her up and carried her out of the classroom saying to the teacher, "I have duties to attend to now with future wife. ." Once they got to the hallway he planted a kiss on her lips saying, "But I'm in love with you."
She laughed out loud after the kiss. (She had to admit he wasn't a bad kisser.) Seriously. Students in the hall looked at her for a few seconds and kept walking. This has got to be joke! She couldn't believe it. Is he actually serious about it? Is it a prank or something? "You've been watching too many soap operas," Alex stated.
Kevin then said, "Have I? Well if it makes you love me I'll watch as many as I have to." He then asked smiling as he walked down the hall to where a car was waiting, "So Alex is it okay that I'm your husband to be?" He was surprised that she didn't pull away from the kiss or slap him yet and was surprised when he laughed in her face like that. She was a good kisser though and she was good looking.
Husband. Marriage. She wasn't interested in those stuffs. Even if she did have a boyfriend, she didn't want the relationship to be serious. Alex believes that marriage is a type of...business. There is no love or "feelings" or anything like that. But Alex was a bit creeped out by this guy. Kevin. He was weird. She decided to play along with him...for now. He would definitely make her life exciting. "Sure," she said. "But..." She trailed off, wanting him to wonder what she was going to say next.
Kevin then smiled and said, "Wonderful. Well, I'm going to take you on a date now and you can save the buts for after our date." He then opened the door to a black car that was waiting outside for them and put her inside. He then placed her inside and the got in the car next to her and asked smiling at her, "So where should we go first Alex?"
Alex smiled. Well, she tried to. She didn't smile. When she smiled, it was usually fake and just for show. Alex tried to think of a place. Hm... She didn't really care where they go. Then she changed her mind. She heard that there was a sale today and she really wanted to go, too, before all the clothes she liked ran out. "How about...?" She pretended to think. "The mall!" Or something like that. She didn't like the mall. It was always crowded, but she didn't like designer clothes either. They were always uncomfortable. Plus, she wanted to soften up the trip a bit before she goes all Godzilla on him.
Kevin then told the driver to take them to the mall and said, "Well, I can pay for what you buy if you want." He then sighed watching her and said thoughtfully, "You know the first time I saw you when I was little I thought you looked like an angel. You were so pretty it was unreal. I'm happy your doing okay." He then smiled at her. He knew that this was going to end soon and she would probably attack him or something, but at least he got to meet her finally today.
She was about to say thank you, but then she thought about what he said. They met each other when they were little? When? How? If they did, how did she forget? How could she forget? Alex is not a very forgetful person. She has a wonderful memory! She just decided to say "thank you" instead of going through the drama. She'll figure it out later...eventually. "Thanks," she said.
Kevin then leaned back in his seat and looked out the window till they finally got to the mall. He then got out of the car and then opened the door for Alex and when she stepped out of the car and the sunlight hit her hair. He then said, "Your hair is very beautiful if you didn't know." He then genitally took her hand and said, "You can lead the way."
Alex smiled at him. "Thanks," she replied to the compliment. She walked out of the car with grace. She looked like she came out of a movie. Alex walked to the front door of the mall. She opened the door and lead the way for her and Kevin. She walked around the store, looking for one that "stands out."
Kevin then asked, "So what are you looking for?" He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. He normally didn't shop especially for a girl, so he didn't know know what to do.
Alex decided to go look at shoes. "Shoes," she answered without facing him. She walked to nearby shoe store that was having a sale. It wasn't packed. Thank god! She walked in the store. She started looking at boot, high heels, etc.
Kevin then sighed and sat down in a chair. He then called after her, "I'll wait for you here." He then waited for her while getting looks from other girl who were flirting with him who he just shrugged the girls off, but a lot of them were starting to crowd around him recognizing the young billionaire.
Alex glanced at Kevin. She smirked. So he is popular. Then she turned her attention to the shoes. The shoes weren't cute. They were plain. None of them really "stood out" from the rest. She could the the female customers' conversations about Kevin. Then she found a pair of really nice combat boots. She normally doesn't wear combat boots, but these were special. She looked at the cost. It read $68.00. They were really cheap. Well, everything is cheap at the mall.
Kevin then smiled kindly at the girl, but was really annoyed on the inside. He didn't come her to flirt with girls he came he to be with Alex. He then said, "Will you please excuse me laddies. I have a special girl to attend to." He then walked over to where Alex was standing and hugged her from behind and whispered in her ear, so only she could hear, "Are you ready to go? Because these girls are annoying me."
She looked at him and kissed him on the cheek. She just wanted to annoy the female customers. She was used to people complimenting her and/or talking trash about her. "Yeah," she said. She left the pair of boots and left the store, holding his hand. She wasn't shy or embarrassed. It was just holding hands. Nothing more than that. People exaggerate the holding-hand part so much. It's so annoying!
Kevin then looked a little shocked when she kissed her cheek, but then looked cool and collected again. He then walked with her and asked, "So where to now?" He was enjoying himself with her and people would stare at them when they walked since they were both good looking people.
Alex shrugged her shoulders in response to his question. "Anywhere," she said. It didn't really matter. To her, this wasn't anything special. It was just a boy and girl, skipping school to hang out. That's all it was. Nothing special.
