Mary The Name of the Star
By Maureen Johnson

I loved this book, I just read it and it has become one of my very favorite

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

What genre is it?

message 4: by Erica (new)

Erica (ericaevernight) Crusade by Nancy Holder was BOMBIN LIKE A BISCUIT!!! I guess you can say its Vampire hunter/romantic/dark/bloody/addicting/White witches/demonic/romantic(cue Jenn and Antonio)/sexy accent(cue Jamie)/emotional/fiction.
Sigh...... yeah that about sums it up right.

Have you read Vampire Academy? It's about vampires (shocker). The main character is learning to be a guardian of moroi-the good vampires and kill the bad ones-strigoi. There are awesome characters, romance, a ton of action, and overall, it's great!

message 6: by Mary (new)

Mary Those books sound interesting, I will have to add them to my to-read list, I'd never heard of Crusade before, thanks.
Oh, and I am not sure what genre The Name of the Star would be under... It's about ghost detectives/hunters, jack the ripper and it has some mystery in it. It's kinda dark and scary, I was actually surprised I liked it so much.

Hmm....something like Obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout? (I know there aren't many books like it, but I figured I'd try)

message 14: by Angela (new)

Angela I THINK you might like Mythos Academy, the first book is called Touch of Frost. It's not as good as Obsidian lol but it's kind of similar. OHH, read Vampire Academy if you haven't :) or read JLA's other series called Covenant

I recommend "The Sky is Everywhere" by Jandy Nelson. Especially if you like contemporary YA novels

Julia Griffis - The Romance Bibliophile (theromancebibliophile) If you like awesome YA paranormal novels, try out the Divisa Series by J.L. Weil. Starting with "Saving Angel," you won't be disappointed!
