When is this RP set? Since this is the New York Institute and the characters from Mortal Instruments aren't here I'm guessing it's some point in either the future or past?

Also, do characters have to be accepted?

The RP is set at the time of The Mortal Instruments. I just haven't decided if I want to include the characters.

And no, they don't have to be approved. If something is wrong I'll just let you know and you can edit it.

As for the places, hotel dumort is an old, decrepit hotel that some vampires have claimed as their lair.
Taki's is a restaraunt for both nephilim and downworlders where the character in TMI go from ttime to time.
Central park is, well, central park. It's pretty much just a giant park in New York City with some Downworlders scattered about.

And the Silent City is where the Silent Brothers live. It's underground and, well, silent, since the silent brothers have taken vows of silence.

Can we have a Face Claim thread? So we can face claim our peeps so no one else uses them?

Also can we have a place for the wolves? Like a warehouse, garage, or a business that hides they really live there?

Can the one Mod in this group look for others, too? Some of us are very advanced and believe that we could help make more sections (Like Leena said, a place for the wolves) and just actually it give you more control if you have more mods. So could you be looking for some people you think would be worthy of being in control? If you're not sure if the person is good enough, message them a few questions like How many groups have you been a mod in, how many years have you been RPing, What would you do as a mod? And stuff like that. I'm a Mod in quite a few other groups and messaging them things like that before you decide always seems to help me.

I don't normally do face claims, but if you guys want one, I'll put it up in the character thread.
As for the mod bit, yes I'll look for other mod(s), it's just that I didn't want to add another mod when the group only had three people rping.

Hi! Well, I guess Rping is like writing story, just with one or more others to help you with it. And it probably never ends as well. So, while rping, you use third person's speech, instead of first. For talking to the other person (Out of character), use double parenthesis - (( ))

And follow all the rules in the group! I think that's about all, and if you have any other question, just raise them up!

Could there be the Faerie palace?
(I think Jace, Clary, Simon, Alec, and Izzy went there once in the second book)

Well we don't have a specific area. For the most part, people ask in chat or they just jump in a location.

They could be an abandoned warehouse for the weres and maybe one for the warlocks just with furniture etc. inside.

I was actually thinking about doing something similar to that. The group has around 155 members, but only a handful are actually active. Mayhap I'll send out a message and give people a few weeks or maybe a month to be active and if they aren't in that time period, I'll remove them from the group.

Then we'll be back to probably twenty over? But its true that having more active members than non-active is most important.

I'd rather have the 20 active members than have a group of over a hundred people who aren't active. But if you have a better idea, I'm open to suggestions.

I agree with you. Actually I don't blame them because I've join 41 groups I think and I'm not active in all.
However, I don't mind you removing them after a message as well. ^^

Hello. Some of you might have met me in the Introduction forums, but if you haven't, then I just want to start off by saying that I am new to the group and I have a few questions about the roleplaying side of things.
I was just wondering how the roleplay system works. Do you have to create a character and then only play that character in a certain forum or are you aloud to play the same character in multiple threads?
Sorry if I'm not good at this, by the way. I haven't been a part of a roleplay forum before, but am looking forward to. Thanks, guys. Catch you later..

Excellent question. You can make characters on the Create a Character topics. You can have as many as you want, but I ask that you try to only have as many as you can handle. Then, you start roleplaying in whichever thread you choose.
Your character can only be in one place at a time, though. So if you want your character to move from the kitchen to the hallway, for instance, you'd make a post that signals that. For example, "(insert character name here) put his/her empty bowl in the sink and made his/her way out of the kitchen and into the hallway."
