That is an interesting comparison. I never would have put those two together.

I'm pretty sure Okay For Now came first.
But I do just think that it's a coincidence.

I think it is a coincidence. Lots of characters in books have cancer, not just in TFIOS. Also lots of people say always to each other, not just in TFIOS.
