I would definitely recommend the Horus Heresy Series. As well as Rynn's World, Sons of Dorn, Angels of Darkness & Salamander.
Thanks for the recommendations. I just finished reading the Eisenhorn Trilogy and vol 1 of the Horus Heresy Series. I'll look into those when I've got the time.
I have to say I would recommend, Horus Rising, Legion, Thousand Sons and Fulgrim they are my favorites. :)
The Horus Heresy definitely. The current 2 novel on the Night Lord are awesome reads, Soul Hunter and Blood Reaver.

(In a I don't ever want to get on the wrong side or met up a dark alley kind of way.)

They are both brilliant and Aaron Dembski-Bowden has the final novel in the series Void Stalker, coming out in May. I definitely can't wait for that. Worth buying this series. Absolutely!
I agree with the recommendations so far except for Rynn's World, Sons of Dorn & Salamander. Found them pretty mediocre. The Blood angel series isn't one of my favourites.
Cadian blood by ADB is excellent.
Battle for the Fang - Once you've got past the Thousand Sons HH book
Caphias Cain series is very entertaining and is "light" for 40K
I'm kinda surprised not to see the Gaunts ghost on the list.
Also Double Eagle and Titanicus
Hey guys, new to the site ;D First group I joined ;) had to get that out there ;DAs for recommendations - I see you just read the Eisenhorn trilogy, i'd forsure follow up with the Raevenor trilogy as well. They, so far, are my two favorites.
Also i'm on like the 5th book of the Horus Heresy, and that is also really good :D
If you want to get some really good reading on the Imperial Army, i'd forsure check out Gaunt's Ghosts. I'm on the 7th book, and I believe the series to be excellent.
I'd also recommend any others written by Dan Abnett. Even the Iron Snake novel is really good.
Just read The Gildar Rift. Can't say I liked it, that would be lying. Was so very slow. Many times it would build up to a fight scene then go to something else(very annoying). The last 1/4 of the book was good. I give it 2 out of 5. Have now started on The new HH book Know No Fear. Dan Abnett is usually awesome, so should be good
I've not long finished reading the Word Bearers Omnibus. Brilliant read! You have just enough time to have a drink before more action hits you in the face. Overall all three novels + short story have really good flow. I am certainly going to read this again and again.... I fully recommend.

Grey Knights Omnibus was the book that convinced me I wanted to read Warhammer 40k books. My current favorite books are the three Night Lords books (Soul Eater, Blood Reaver, Void Stalker)- Helsreach is my favorite space marine battle book, but battle of the Fang was great too. Way behind really- too many books.
hi everyone :D I'm new to Warhammer 40k too. I just started to read The Killing Ground novel and i finished 2 chapters and so far, i really liked it. I learned that this book belonges to Ultramarines series and i ordered the other books of the series too. :D And i even ordered one miniature of miniature game too... there's no one to play at where i live... it's a city but it's no metropol, yet i just want to have one of these miniatures to look at :D Space Marines look really bad ass and stuff. :D

Just recently started reading the Warhammer and I'm wondering what are your favorite books? Looking for suggestions as where to look next.
So far I have read the Blood Angels Omnibus, And the Ultramarines Omnibus.
