First, an explanation:
*Each month, your moderators will hand select two books for the month--one YA book and one adult book. This is so the older members aren't forced to read YA, and the younger members are not forced to read adult books.
*The choice of which book of the two you choose to read is entirely up to you, no matter what age you are.
*It's up to you to obtain a copy of the book you select of the two--your moderators are not responsible for providing you with a copy. (We suggest trying your local library, Amazon, or another ebook source.)
*Throughout the month, you will read the book of your choice (from the two for that month), and there will also be discussion threads, quizzes on the book, and sometimes even some events or book chats to participate in.
Second, some rules:
*You are responsible for obtaining your copy of the book.
*There will be discussion threads and quizzes for both books each month. Special events, book chats, and other occasional book club events may not always be on both books. It will vary at the moderators' choice.
*You are allowed to read both books if you want, or none at all. This is not a commitment thing. (Example: If you like one of the books for September, you can hop in the book club and join. If in October you aren't feeling either of the books, you aren't forced to participate in our book club.)
*If you have a suggestion for a book for the club for a future month, you can privately message any of the Struggling Writers Moderators to give suggestions.
*In all discussions and events, you are always allowed to express your opinions! As always, please keep it clean and don't be judgmental or rude.
Now go forth and grab your books and join the Struggling Writers Monthly Book Club!
xx,
