Read a book from each country discussion

If you're looking for something about Ethiopia, I highly recommend "Cutting for Stone" by Abraham Verghese. The story of twin brothers is amazing, and the country is almost a character itself, and an integral part of the story. It dispelled a lot of preconceived notions I held.

I agree absolutely! Cutting for Stone is beautifully written, with wonderful, unforgettable characters, a story that keeps you thinking about it for months after you've finished the book; it also taught me so much about Ethiopian culture and history.
