Jasz, are you talking about The 5 pillars of Islam for Question 7 or did you mean the 6 articles/pillars of faith (arkan al-Iman) which are belief in 1. Allah 2. The Angels 3. The Revealed/Holy Books 4.Allah's Messengers 5. The here after and 6. Predestination

I've never heard of the pillars being put that way...where'd you learn that?

Hi Ati. I don't think Rachel was talking about the pillars but certain things we should (and do) believe in

Ati I believe she was asking about the Arkan Al-Eman which is sometimes translated as articles of faith and other times as pillars of faith. I believe some people prefer translating as articles of faith because this lessens confusion with the pillars of Islam. Arkan does mean pillars though with rukn (the singular) meaning one pillar. So then it would be 1) The Belief in Allah 2) the belief in angels 3) the belief in prophets 4) the belief in the holy books (torah, bible, Qur'an), 5) belief in the day of judgment and 6) the belief in Al-Qadr (pre-destination/fate)
