Leslie I loved this as a girl, and have seen the various movie & TV adaptations. Last year, I reread several of Frances Hodgson Burnett's books (when I discovered the wonders of public domain Kindle books!) - I was pleased that the story was just as enjoyable to my adult self!

I love the character of Dickon, with his gentle way with wild creatures :)

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) One of my favourites when I was younger, I thought this book was so amazing. I really liked Dickon and how he could "talk" to the animals. Mary was unpleasant at first, but I think her character development is fantastic.
