Branwen ran to the river, crying. She waded into the water her long white dress getting caught in the jagged rocks. Just what she wanted. She threw herself into the current, drowning herself. Her dress was entangled with large rocks.
Aragorn saw what she was doing and yelled her to stop but she didn't. He sprinted as fast as he can and jumped into the river to get her but her dress which was tangled and stopping the current from carrying her away, loose free.
Branwen's face was paler than usual and was expressionless. Her dress started to loosen a bit.
He swimmed as fast he can but the water kept on carrying her away and she was out of the reach.
Toby jumped into the water and angled him with the current, taking off in the water like he was born in it. He'd assessed the situation almost immediately, and forced himself to trust the water. He snatched Branwen and forced the water to lift her head above water.
Branwen was still motionless, as Toby held her head above water.
He was there too and caught Branwen and dragged her out of the water.
Branwen was unconscious, so after dragging her out he torn the extra clothing and pumped out the water and when she sat, he glared "what the hell you were thinking. ?" he yelled "now call Arwen and wil see with whom she will be angry"
"I want you to stay away from me! I'm never going to talk to you again, and it will be all your fault when I never get married, you b*stard!!!" She screamed, before getting up and running back. She ran up to her room, sobbing. She locked the door and the windows, and closed the curtains over her windows. She threw herself onto her bed, sobbing into her pillow.
Toby sat away from them, curled up. Aragorn had worse family problems than he did, and that was saying something.
Aragorn looked hard at Toby "what the hell is the problem with everyone. They're mad after Legolas" he said in clenched teeth.
"I was just joking. And you weren't paying attention at all to what I was saying five minutes ago."
Aragorn was taken aback by her words and language she was using. he kept looking in the direction where she ran off and sighs.
"what does this mean?" he asked looking hard at the boy.
"Get someone else" was all he said.
"But you're Aragorn! There may come a day when the hearts of men may fail, when they turn tail and run, but it is not this day!"
"I'm not a hero like you think. I'm a normal person who is trying to and failing in convincing my own daughter" he said
"Fine, maybe your daughter is brave enough to help me! You don't even care that Fiera might die!"
He get up "o.k I'm going but you're staying here and tell no one where I'm"
"than why you came to me ?" he said "you should have gone to others than".
"but these days I doubts, but o.k whatever who else is coming ?" he asked trying to change the topic. Toby's enthusiasms sometime embarrassed him.
"Everybody! Branwen, Legolas, Gimli, Merry, Pippin, Frodo, Sam, and Gandalf! Okay, lots of those we can't get, but we need all the help we can get!"
"Bran isn't coming I'm not letting her" he said and "and you think rest of them are available ?"
He looked at Toby, confused by him.
"She is too much consumed by Legolas that she won't and nothing will happen to your sister" he said patting him gently.
"I won't let anything happen" he said with a sad smile.
"yes I'll" he said than started dragging him "now let's go".
Toby trotted next to him. "I have water magic, you know, I could do things, to help you in exchange."
he smiled "thanks but I have a friend who is the best wizard"
"Who?" He asked, taking Aragorn's hand and tilting his head. His hair was growing out all wavy and scraggly now, sticking up everywhere.
He smiled "I think when you were reading the book of our world you missed my favorite person Gandalf"
"Oh, he's all right. But he keeps dragging Hobbits on quests that are a bit big. They survive, but he's obsessed with questing. There was that time he got Frobo Baggins and put him in front of the orc army, legs tied together, with a sign that said "Your Mother Was An Elf"."
He broke in a laughter "not really but yess he is after quest although he gave us glimpse of him when we needs him"
"so when we are leaving ?" he asked
he just followed the small kid.
Toby tried climbing the horse's back, but he was too little. He didn't want to look stupid, so he said nothing and kept trying.
Aragorn grabbed Toby and hoist him on the horse "you can ask for help".
