Started earlier this week. enjoying being drawn into the story so far.

Aaaaaand just finished. What a great story! Something I can't quite put my finger on annoyed me in the writing for the first couple of chapters, but then I either got used to it or it stopped happening, or maybe I was just so engrossed in the actual tale that I didn't notice it any more.
Very grateful for the author's note at the end about the lost violins, and where her characters came from. I admit to sneaking a peek when I was less than half way through the book, so I had the correct picture in my mind for Rafael :-) and the recurring detail of the violinists tightening their bows before playing made me smile in recognition every time. I would never have picked this book to read without it being a group read, so thank you again, BLK!!
