I'm reading Rusty Nail, by JA Konrath. I'm reading it because I read two other books with his main character, Jack Daniels. She's a strong detective and the story is told in first person. They also have the POV of the antagonist. I continued to read the series because of the main character. I don't find the books dull and the main character has attitude, which I'm not finding in some of the other authors' mystery novels I've read when searching for new books. Actually, I guess I should be thankful for these lackluster characters. That's what finally gave me the push I needed to do what I've wanted to do for years. That's write a novel myself.
Man, I am so far behind on my reading! I guess that's what I get for taking almost a decade off from reading fiction. I have heard of JA Konrath, but haven't read anything, yet. This series sounds good. Thanks for sharing.
