About Judy T. (moderator for Prize Winning Fiction):
One of the great pleasures of working in a library is the opportunity to look at all of the new books when they arrive. The downside is that the list of books I want to read keeps growing and it seems I never have enough time to work my way down the list—a problem that I believe I share with many people who like to read. I chose “Prize Winning Fiction” as the topic for my book club so, hopefully, we will make the time to read contemporary books that have received acclaim and that many of us have probably heard about but just haven’t quite gotten around to reading. If you come into the Library, you will find me at the Reference Desk; I hope you’ll stop by to say hello.

About Jacob D. (moderator for Page Turning Non-Fiction): I recently moved to the reference desk at the Edwardsville Public Library after working at the circulation desk for more than a decade. I enjoy escapism in all my reading, and I believe non-fiction can be a better escape than sci-fi and fantasy. Reading about citizens in North Korea or about members of motorcycle ‘clubs’ in California can transport me to world that is simultaneously very familiar and very alien.

About Alana T. (moderator for Speculative Fiction): I was a geeky kid, hooked on everything science related, including what I read. No surprise, I became a scientist. Now I work in a library, my reading interests have broadened, but I still love the genre that introduced me to reading. These days, many novels incorporate science-based theories to great effect. I'm looking forward to re-reading some of the older classics of sci-fi, along with more recent works of speculative fiction.

Lindsey Winters | 1 comments I'm Lindsey W. and I'm mom of three and one on the way. I'm excited to find and hear about some good reads on here that will be enjoyable to read when I'm not busy with little ones;) I love to read and look forward to some good ideas of books since my time is consumed a lot!

Patrice | 2 comments Hi there. I am Patrice. I love to read but hard to find time with working full time and raising our daughter. Reading relaxes me but I'm not a reader who can stay up all night. I am almost finished with the book, Miles to Go and I love it. Always looking for good books, both current and past. Thank you
