SLCLS Genre Study discussion

Romantic Fantasy contains story lines heavily, if not completely, devoted to love and romantic entanglements. Although unlike fantastic or paranormal romance, often more emphasis is placed on the plot than the relationship, and a happy ending is not a requirement.

Examples: "Beguilement" by Lois McMaster Bujold and "Graceling" by Kristin Cashore.

What are some of your favorite romantic fantasy books?

I think the Heartmate series by Robin Owens definitely qualifies.
