Released in 2012. Written by Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by Stuart Immonen. The series centers around the five original x-men (with far more color and character) who are brought from the past by the present- day Beast to confront Cyclops and his band of miscreants.

I like this series as it is the first time I can follow a story line serially. The characters are more interesting than they were before with more angst and internal conflict.Any thoughts?
Well now there's 2 Beasts: old and young. I'm loving 2 Icemen. Double the class clown capacity. Marvel App for iPad!!!
Different levels of different. Bobby is his usual self. Scott more conflicted. Jean determined not to make a single mistake. The beast is trying to hold it all together and Angel is a bad guy
The man who killed the Avengers for me, is given a chance to kill the X-men and does it with an idea that is half fan fiction, half Doctor Who plot.Bendis has either found a way to completely undermine the marvel universe or at some point we have to erase this entire series from history.
It doesn't seem to actually fix the X-men, and it makes the Beast, one of the smartest men in the MU, look like an enormous chucklehead that this is the best plan he could come up with.
or short answer, I didn't like it.

It's not as good as some, but I've enjoyed it so far (most likely because its the first time as I can read the comics as they come out) Plus really hoping young Jean Grey hurts Emma Frost
