Hi everyone! I think it's so great that you offer this discussion section for authors to highlight their work. It looks like we have a lot of talented writers among us :)

Growing up, I was an avid reader, and I seem to have been bitten by the writing bug when I was around 9. By 12, I was convinced I could publish a book, but I wouldn't see that dream realized until now.

I've just released my debut book, CALCULATED, the first in a series of three psychological thrillers. I really enjoy reading and writing in a lot of genres, but I seem to be drawn overall to darker stories with interesting twists and endings that ask the reader to question everything they thought the story was about.

Calculated, synopsis

An investigative journalist gets an unlikely tip from a mysterious informant. Dismissing it as impossible, she disregards the information and drops the story. Until the informant turns up dead, as predicted.

Plunged into the murky waters of a seedy underground prostitution ring, this psychological thriller provides twist upon dark twist in a story that would ultimately pin the church and several government officials in the largest murder cover-up the city has ever witnessed.

But is it true, or has the journalist merely been used as a pawn in a greater scheme? And how many people is she willing to sacrifice trying to figure it out?

Synopsis:

After scouring campus with her two best friends in her tricky journey, her detective work returns a pile of unworthy rejects, and it seems as though her choices are narrowed down to only two options: the hot stranger who’s inspired her new project, and her best guy friend Ian, who she’s always kept at bay due to his perceived playboy reputation.

Reagan gets more than she bargained for with her new set of rules, however, and is surprised to find that love, and the perfect boyfriend, may have been within reach the entire time. But will Ian’s reputation ruin his chances to prove his worth? And can Reagan let go of her insecurities long enough to even give him a chance?
