Discussing fictional novels

Sarah | 155 comments I am curious as to whether anyone has read The Shining Girls and what their impressions were. I only read about 30 pages and couldn't get into it. I didn't like the amount of profanity, but I thought that the general plot idea was interesting. Someday I want to pick it up and try again. It may be that I just wasn't in the mood for it when I tried it the first time. I would love to hear what others thought, although please don't post spoilers! ;-)

You know I enjoyed it, the concept was really interesting. Guess I didn't see the profanity, or glossed over it. Found it fast- paced.

Sarah | 155 comments I will definitely have to give it another go sometime. What doesn't appeal to me at one time occasionally turns out to be interesting and enjoyable when I return to it later.
