   I liked Abdul, he worked hard and made the most of a bad situation. I strongly disliked the one-legged woman. Through the beginning of the book, I wondered what it was that had happened to her, and when I eventually learned, I found her to be completely reprehensible!

      Cindy, yes--reprehensible is a good word to describe "the one leg." She was almost comic relief, except that she made me angry and sad, too.
