The severe brutality of his life was overwhelming at times. I love this series. I have read the series and I am in the process of re-reading it.

I really the Chronicles of Nick series. Bubba is hilarious! I have only read
but I would like to read the rest of the series.
I liked it. It had a Star Wars or Battlestar Galatica feel to it. As always it is the characters that come to life as you read her books that keep me reading.
I keep hearing that Styxx is a hard read due to brutality. Like Leigh, I like the Nick series, he is my favorite in the DH series.
I really like the Born of series, am listening to the newest one right now.
I have them all on audio and that how I am re-reading them. She has some good narrators. Yes, give them a try.
I have to agree with Leigh about the audio books. That is the only way that I read the DH books. I am waiting for my library to get the audio for Styxx before reading it.
A great book to re-read is Talon's book
. The audio is one of a good one. I just finished listening to that one.
may I ask... What is the big deal with the Dark Hunter series?? I have a few of them, and I have read a few other books by Kennyon, but nothing that made me crazy like a few people I have seen on other sites where people name their children after her characters. I'm not judging, just asking.
SK and her tortured hero's sometimes they make me cringe so thanks for letting me know ahead of time!
The Kenyon books that got me the most tearful so far are:
and
. They are among my top 10. I know there are more books by other authors too, but I can't think of them at this point. I think one was by Nalini Singh.
@Stephanie.......I'm kind of with you. I read one of the later in the series books, the one w/Sundown & didn't like it at all. All this talk of Styxx has made me start the series. I'm just started book 3. I thought books one & two were OK but I don't see why the hoopla. I'm going to read a few more since I already have most of them to see if I become more enamored.
@ Alisa, I've been reading her Belador series and books with Diana Love, and I like them, nothing where I would freak out, but I like them. Glad to know, I'm not crazy. Lol

I am a fan of the series and there are some books I just love and others that are meh.
What I like about it is the mythology along side the mix of vampires and shifters. I think her characters are interesting, I love they are different both physically and emotionally. I will also admit I think she is funny. Not to mention I am a sucker for the tortured hero which she does really well...sometimes to well.
I will say that normally I am not a fan of the dream hunter books - for whatever reason it does not work for me.
Dawn wrote: "I am a fan of the series and there are some books I just love and others that are meh."That is so true of this series.
Dawn wrote: I am a fan of the series and there are some books I just love and others that are meh. "This is true of me as well. Overall, I enjoy the series and the ongoing story-arc but alongside the ones that I've loved,
, the have been others that made me ask why I was bothering with the series at all such as
As to naming children after the characters, that is definitely on the excessive side :0)
