Gail Ranstrom (montanagail) | 5 comments Brain Fade.... Can’t remember the title. Can’t remember the author. But I remember the story quite well, and loved it. So filled with angst and a tortured past. The story took place not long after the French Revolution. The protagonists were British. The heroine’s father, killed during their flight from France, was somehow involved. As the story opens, the heroine is back living in France with a man who poses as her lover, but is only a good friend of long standing. The hero, who was the heroine’s suitor long ago, shows up in France on His Majesty’s business. He is looking for something and has reason to believe she may have it. And from there, the story takes off. Can anyone help me with the title and author?

Gail Ranstrom (montanagail) | 5 comments Ah, well. Thanks for trying. I've moved twice since reading it, so I know I passed the book on to friends. Otherwise I'd be in my storage room rummaging through the other boxes of books I haven't unpacked this time. I'll just keep my eyes open and hope to come across it again. Hope it goes into reprint or the author gets the rights back and makes it available as an ebook.

Older. About 10 years, maybe a little more. Major publisher and I think the cover might have been redish. Geez. I can remember everything but the important thing - title and author.

Not entirely helpful. Sorry.

I did have a quick google search but that was even less helpful...it kept suggesting The Scarlet Pimpernel

Shiree McCarver | 12 comments Sounds familiar, but I'm not sure. I will think of the others it sound like but check out The Pirate Prince The Pirate Prince (Ascension Trilogy #1) by Gaelen Foley By Gaelen Foley

It's hard to tell because on the actual blurb they don't have the backstory about her father. S

Can you remember the names of the lead characters?

Gail Ranstrom (montanagail) | 5 comments Sadly, no. But the bulk of the story takes place in post revolutionary Paris with an abduction to a tower in the countryside. Though I don't remember her name, I do recall she was quite well known and I bought the book on the strength of her name. Along the lines of Garfield, Putney, etc.
