{Zander}Bri and I make our way to Taki's, maneuvering the busy streets of New York. Everyone is going to work or just out and about shopping, sporting the latest trends of autumn 2056.
{Bri}I've changed out of my gear, thank god, so I don't look ridiculous among the high heels and neon colours that are in right now.
{Zander}"No problem." I say, shaking my head at her comment. "I haven't been to this place in a while,"
{Bri}"I was here..last week I think? I'm not entirely sure." I say, sitting down in one of the booths.
{Zander}"That's cool," Things between us are awkward today, and I hate awkwardness. It just annoys me. But even I'm at a loss for words, which is a first.
{Bri}"Yeah, I guess." I stare at my hands. I don't have anything I want to say. There's blood on my ring, and I rub it, trying to get it shiny again.
(( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-zNYM... <-- Clary's theme song right there)){Zander}
I stare down at my menu, this will distract me. I'm not very hungry, since I just had breakfast, but I could get something to drink I guess.
((OMG what book was that???)){Zander}
"You can try it if you want... But I'm good for now. Just be careful,"
((Oh, lolll))"I am fun! But I've heard stories about what faerie food does, and it's pretty ridiculous,"
{Zander}"You don't wanna know," I say, laughing. "There was this one guy, who thought he had wings and was hopping off tables pretending to fly,"
{Bri}"yeah. Like drinking, but without the hangovers. Fun." I explained, smiling. Just the, a waitress came over.
{Zander}I don't recognize this waitress. "She would like to have some faerie food," I say quickly, pointing to Bri. "I just want the strawberry smoothie."
{Waitress/Sarah}"Coming right up guys!" I say brightly, as required, and then I go tell the chef what to make.
{Zander}I chuckle softly. "You seemed like you really wanted it, plus I wanna see what happens to you,"
Quinn, who's hair was presenting quite some trouble for the young wolf, slipped between the doors. She's been hoping to be unnoticed, but she saw the heads swiveling, watching. They always did; she knew it shouldn't bother her, but it did. Quinn hated being stared at, beyond belief. As always, the ex-warlock was twisting her hair into a bun, her sleeves just barely passing her shoulders. The marks on Quinn's exposed arms--much like runes--were the only clear symbol that she was different, just the way she liked it. As always, Quinn surveyed the restaurant, looking for somewhere to sit.
((Well we'll)){Bri}
I sigh. "How encouraging." I say. I'm being dramatic, but I am excited. This'll be interesting. Fun. Hopefully.
((LOL yup)){Zander}
When the food gets here, I can't help but laugh again. I thank the waitress, then to Bri I say: "Good luck,"
{Bri}"Shut up." I say lightly. There's something that looks like a smoothie but I know isn't, it's pale yellow in colour. If it were mundane food, it would be mango-flavoured. On the plate, there's an assortment of fruits and what looks like french toast. Oh well. At least it's not actually french toast, as I find out when I bite into it. It tastes like apples and shortbread cookies at the same time.
{Bri}"It's amazing. Actually." I say, trying the drink, then the fruit. All amazing.
((Okay, either she starts seeing ducks everywhere, or what? Idk what to do.))
{Bri}"Oh, chill out. Honestly Zander, It's good food. You should try some." I say, still laughing. Not for long though.
{Bri}"You're kidding, right? There's one right there." I point. "And there. And there. And one outside, too."
{Bri}I shake my head, an exaggerated movement, "no it's not! What's wrong with you, they're all over the place!"
