I like the way the author ties everything together at the end. Dona Vorchenza realizes, that although a thief, Locke doesn't necessarily steal to live the life of the wealthy, he has a core set of values. Taking the roll of priest of the thirteenth seriously, Locke sinks the stolen fortune to the bottom of the ocean as a death offering for his beloved friends. Dona Vorchenza then passes the torch to the Salvaras.Good book, not going to make my top five, all-time favorite list, but I would give it 4 stars and look forward to reading the next book in the series to see how this will continue to play out.
Yeah, I liked how it all tied together. I really enjoyed it. The next book in the series I had much more mixed feelings about, but I'm looking forward to book 3 which is realised in October :)
The book was good, and it tied together well, but there was a bleak, terrible quality to the people of the setting. Everything was harsh. Everyone seemed cruel. It really took away a lot of my enthusiasm.
I also really enjoyed this book! I read it earlier this year! t was one of the most well written books have read this year along with the fact the author literally killed everybody we loved! I was pretty shocked there so many casualties! I can wait o read book 2!(on a side note I am hearing mixed things about book 3)

There was no such thing as happy and fun in the book!
