Ooh .. Merlin Withdrawal was also a bad one. Especially because I wasn't satisified with the ending. It was too bad bittersweet for me. I was depressed for days on end after the show ended.

I have suffered from many of the symtoms listed above, in particular when...Harry Potter ended.
BBC TV show Merlin finished!
Once Upon A Time season one finished, and it was nearly a year until the next season.
With books like HP, Lord of the Rings, MI & ID and other great series coming to an end.
When HP enden I read a lot of the other books jk wrote, and...FANFICTION! You can find fanfiction for practicly any book of tv show. When the series of unfortunate events ended I was just really sad.
When I finish watching amazing movies, inspend a week beliving that I can be as awesome as the people in the movie.
When PJ finished, I read fanfiction again. (There are actually some good fanfic writers out there) and now I'm reading HOO.
When the mysterious Benedict society ended, as usual, fanfiction. And then I spend time praying he will wite other books.
Harry Potter, Merlin, SHERLOCK, The Fault in Our Stars...

Definitely Sherlock!!! I was crying when watching the season 2 finale.

I definitely still have post potter depression. I still read mounds and mounds of fanfiction. When Merlin ended I cried and have not stopped since:/
I can't wait for Sherlock to come back! I've waited almost 2 years for series three!!!
Clockwork Princess ripped my heart out and I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about the ending.
I am still mourning over soo many things and I can't seem to get over it but I'm not really sure I want too:P
I have post-Legend of Korra depression, and still a lingering Avatar one. By the way, nice gifs (again!) :)

OMG! YES!!! The end of Season 2 of LOK had me in shock. And ever since I've just been sitting ... waiting for the new season to come out next year.

*sobs*(view spoiler) D: I'm so sad. I can't even imagine what they are going to theme the third season around!
I also thought it was fantastic that they brought back (view spoiler) in the spirit world.

Very true!
H99 wrote: "Yes. Who doesn't feel sad about poor Bambi's mom? Or when poor little Dumbo is crying? Dumbo never speaks, and yet he's so sad."True! It's impossible to not have feels for Disney movies.
H99 wrote: "The sad thing is, though, I feel more for side characters than for the main one, sometimes. For example, in Cinderella, I feel more the mice, the cat, the horse, and birds more than for Cinderella...."Hmm I never really thought about it that way. I know that I like Rapunzel and Ariel a lot and I never attributed it to the lack of personality in some of the other princesses. I can definitely see that.
And yeah, kissing someone when they are unable to give consent kind of bothers me too.
I agree with the ones you listed, but add Belle and the new princess from Frozen :)I was going to say, isn't that considered rape?
Im in the middel of watching Doctor who and when Im at school I get upset cause I cant watch it till I get home.

I did mention Belle, in the message right b..."
I love Belle. I've always related to her love of reading:P I want her amazing library! And the new princesses from Frozen, Anna and Elsa, and absolutely fantastic. I definitely recommend going to see the movie. Tiana is such a strong character and I love that she is so head strong and determined to achieve her goals.
Yeah, I agree. Neither option is really good, but not dying is definitely preferred.
I'm with you all the way! It doesn't make a ton of sense to me, but hey, I still love Disney movies.
H99 wrote: "Same. :) Why no mothers in Disney? They hate mothers or find them inconvenient."
Hmm I never really noticed that either. Rapuzel has a mother, she doesn't talk but neither does her father. There's also a mother and father in Frozen. Hmm I can't think of any more at the moment.
So, H99, I really think you'll like Frozen. Their mother follows the same rule as the other movies, but besides that, it goes against what you dislike in princess movies.- both princesses have personalities
- there is love at first sight, but the entire movie makes fun of that fact
Pluuuuus the plot isn't 100% predictable :)
H99 wrote: "Dumbo- Mother is locked up and isn't present for much other than to sing a song and give him a bath. Eh.Tangled- The woman she thought was her mother is really evil, and the real mother only talk..."
Honestly, is there a movie with a prominent mother in it? I never noticed until you said something.
Wait! Lion king: (view spoiler) a mom!
It took me a while to figure out which topic this conversation was in, but here I am! Brave was really good :D
I wonder how much further Disney will veer in the future. They get more and more creative every day.
Hello. Sorry to jump in here.Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood I just finished the show and I've been unable to read anything except the manga. I can't bring myself to get out of that world.
Mobile Suit Gundam 00 I wandered around for a week depressed, and all I did was re-watch episodes.
Doctor Who When Ten regenerated.
Too many book series to remember.
H99 wrote: "Bring back the 2Ds. I miss them."2Ds are pretty good, but I also enjoy the 3Ds. One is more classic and the other is modern, but both are fine by me.

I am obsessed with FMA.

Recently I started and finished watching an EPIC TV show called 'Prison Break' I knew the end was coming and it wasn't until the end came that I became depressed. I only just finished the show yesterday and I watched the 2 episodes today that showed what happened in between the end and the epilogue and OMG!!! I was so in withdrawal afterwards. I couldn't even read 'The Darkest Minds' because all I could think about was that show and those characters and UGH!!!!
Anyways, how do you deal with book and TV withdrawals. Here are some examples of mine and how I dealt with them.
Post-Potter Depression I didn't deal with this that well. Basically when I finished the series, I went and read the extra Harry Potter books such as 'Fantastic Beasts and where to find them' and 'The tales of Beedle the Bard' I then didn't read anything. I tried to look for books that people had said were similar to Harry Potter and had a similar writing style. Someone told me that Emily Rodda is like J.K Rowling so I started reading 'The Key of Rondo' and well it didn't do it for me. She was not like J.K Rowling. So basically I didn't read for 6 months and I think the first books I picked up afterwards was the first three books in the Skulduggery Pleasant series.
The Power of Five Mourning Period If you read the last book in Anthony Horowitz's series titled 'Oblivion'. Then you know what happens and you know how heart-breaking and bittersweet that ending is. I didn't deal with this at all. All I did was constantly bawl my eyes out over the events of that book.
Clockwork Princess When I finished Clockwork Princess in tears the way I dealt with it was by starting The Mortal Instruments which I had not read. So technically I haven't dealt with this but when the last TMI book is released then I will probably go into withdrawal until her next series.
Now it's your turn. Post your Mourning Periods, Withdrawals and how you dealt with them below.
