Salam alaykum. I'm currently talking with someone about marriage and I'm looking for advice and books suggestions on the topic, secular or Muslim. Do yall know any good ones? I've read Principles of Marriage & Family Ethics by Ayatollah Amini, which was interesting. Its split into two parts, a men's side and a women's side. I also read a secular book called 101 Things I Wish I Knew When I Got Married, written by a psychotherapist couple who have been married for 31 years. It made it sound like one long therapy session. Lol

Assalamualaykum,First, let me introduce myself since I hardly make comment here but read through the discussion. My name is Ummul Choironi and I'm a Muslima from Indonesia.
I've read a jungian psychology book of Clasissa pincola estes under title "Woman who runs with Wolves" there is a chapter of Finding Mates which I found it very inspiring for both men and women. And then there is a Muslim book of Marriage part of Ihya Ulum'din written by Imam al-Ghazali also very interesting in relation to Sufism point of view in marriage.
I would recommend those two if you want to see marriage from spiritual perspective :)
Salam/... Ummul
