"Who CARES about macaroni?"

"Hey! Sweetie, I'm home," Lily calls to Robert.
"Hey! Good day?" He asks, while taking her coat and giving her a kiss on the cheek. Unusual behaviour.
"Brilliant day," Lily begins her story with sarcasm, "First John fired me, then John re-hired me, then I poured coffee all over myself, then I fell over in a video conference." She laughs a little at her unfortunate luck and puts her head in her hands.
"Well, you're home now and I've made macaroni and cheese." Robert smiles and Lily gives him a quick kiss before taking a seat at the table in the kitchen.
"Thanks, love." Out of the corner of her eye she can spy some purple, she tilts her head and squints her eyes but then Robert blocks her view.
"Wine?"
"The more, the better!" She laughs, and Robert pours some into her large glass.
When he moved to get their plates of food Lily takes a longer look at the purple glinting through the cupboard and then gets up to check it out. She opens the cupboard just as Robert turns around with the macaroni.
"Robert.." Lily says in a shaky voice. Not believing what she can see.
"Yes, sweetheart? The macaroni is ready. Steaming hot."
"Robert," She spins around angrily. Gripping the purple fabric between her fingers.
A purple lace bra.
Not her purple lace bra.
"Who's is this?!" She growls at him, her voice oozing with infuriation.
"Uh, nobodies. Darling, the macaroni is ready."
"Nobodies? No-bloody-bodies?! Well you're right. It's not mine, and I'm almost certain you don't go parading around wearing bra's. So, I'll repeat, whose. bra. is. this?"
"The macaroni getting cold," he squeaked in a scared response.
"Who CARES about macaroni?"

I'm not sure if this was intentional, but I found this story extremely hilarious (it might've been something about the purple lace bra and the macaroni mentioned in the same convo... lol I'm still smiling as I type this)! Your dialogue flows naturally and I think your take on the quote is creative... really good job! :)
