Hello, GRNWers!

THANK YOU to everyone who came out on Saturday! It was a wonderful inaugural event, and I don't think we could have asked for a better "first time" with you all. (Thank you for being gentle with us!) :D

Please feel free to share your thoughts about the Meet-Up--what did you like, what thinks you would like to see added, and we'll see what we can do for GRNW 2014 which will be held in Seattle on September 13, 2014!

Some possible questions to think about:

How did you like the venues of the library and the Monaco?

How did you like the panels?

We will probably have a similar format (three main panels during the main event.) What other topics would you like to discuss in the future?

How did you like the post-con book fest? Would you like to have something like that again?

We'd like to keep our ticket prices low. Although we need to cover costs, accessibility and affordability is very important to us, especially to encourage readers to join in, so keeping things below $25 is our goal. Does ticket price matter much to you? Was this amount okay?

If we had held specific workshops in the morning before the conference, would you be interested? (Like, writing, editing, cover art, marketing, etc?)

If we held a second day event that was geared towards workshopping one's writing with a group, would you be interested in signing up? (And would you consider a second ticket for this event, maybe similar in price, e.g. $25?)

If you are around Seattle, would you be interested in a LGBT romance reading group that would meet somewhat regularly (maybe every other month) for casual discussion about books, etc?

Please feel free to share with us your feedback. We'd love to hear your thoughts!

I loved the way this first event went. Kudos to Tracy for her amazing organizational skills! This was fun, well planned, and I did think the venue worked well. I think you could get away with one more year at the library and Monaco. After that you may have to find a bigger venue.

I would love to see a second day event. Either more individual workshops or crit groups? I was surprised at the number of new writers there. I think they would benefit greatly from a second day. Maybe gear it towards the LGBT genre more than just MM?

Maybe consider another panel? We definitely could have used more time. *grin* since we kept running over.

I did like the "happy hour" and wish I had read something. I hope to be able to do so next year??? Working on my phobia of reading aloud!

Price was very reasonable. One of the reasons I go to certain cons and coms is because they are less than $100 a weekend and very well run. This was one of the funner events I have been too. However MM romance writers are just a fun group.

Again, ttg, outstanding event young lady!
